About NGO Pathshala

A collective learning and action platform dedicated to strengthening NGOs, CSOs, and development practitioners through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and collaborative action.

Foundation & Purpose

NGO Pathshala was established on 28th September 2020 as an informal learning and action network by experienced social workers, development professionals, and civil society leaders. It was created as a collaborative space for peer learning, capacity enhancement, knowledge sharing, and advocacy— especially for small and emerging NGOs and CSOs across India.

Vision

To strengthen the capacities of NGOs, CSOs, and development practitioners for participatory social development and transformative change.

Mission

To connect weak, emerging, and like-minded organizations and individuals, enhance their capacities, and transform them into active partners of social development.

NGO Pathshala is guided by the values of the Indian Constitution — equity, justice, inclusiveness, and participatory governance.

Key Objectives

A. Development & Training-Oriented Objectives

  • Promote value-based growth in NGOs and civil society organizations.
  • Organize capacity development programs, workshops, and trainings.
  • Support research, studies, and documentation.
  • Facilitate internal assessments and project evaluations.
  • Strengthen the use of social media, ICT tools, and digital platforms for outreach.

B. Resource Mobilization & Grant-Oriented Objectives

  • Support organizations in mobilizing resources from national & international agencies, CSR, and government departments.
  • Facilitate project proposal development and fundraising strategies including crowdfunding.
  • Assist in mobilizing qualified human resources through placement linkages.

C. Miscellaneous Objectives

  • Provide advisory services on legal and governance matters.
  • Encourage innovation, pilot initiatives, and model practices.
  • Recognize and reward exemplary institutions and practitioners.
  • Facilitate advocacy and representation at district, state, and national networks.
